About WEHLO
WEHLO was initiated as a community-oriented project aimed at assisting local communities in disaster preparedness by serving as a decision support system for monitoring weather impacts. The project traces its origins back to three prior ventures of Mapua University that received funding from DOST: Flood Risk Assessment for Mitigation and Effective Response (FRAMER), Simulating Cascading Rainfall-triggered Landslide Hazards in the Philippines (SCaRP), and Automated Real-time Monitoring System (ARMS).
As the project progresses, WEHLO aspires to advance into a commercial entity and become the second project of Mapua University that was funded by a DOST to be a spin-off company. This strategic move will enable WEHLO to sustain and expand its operations through the revenue it generates. Thus, allowing WEHLO to continue providing developing solutions and help contribute to a more resilient Philippines.

These nodes represent the four pilot sites where WEHLO is deployed: Infanta and General Nakar in Quezon, Angat in Bulacan, and Pantabangan in Nueva Ecija. By deploying WEHLO in these locations, we demonstrate our dedication to bringing cutting-edge technology to areas that are most vulnerable to climate-related risks. We also envision expanding our reach to more locations in the future to help more communities mitigate the impacts of extreme weather conditions and build a more sustainable future.
The cloud in the logo symbolizes our goal of monitoring real-time localized weather data to provide essential information for decision-making and risk management, powered by innovative impact monitoring technology. The cloud also represents the vastness of the atmosphere and our commitment to bringing cutting-edge technology to the forefront of climate adaptation and disaster resilience efforts.
